Sunday Ally was 8 weeks old. We have had some visits from family the last few weeks and it has been so fun to introduce her and show her off. She is becoming quite alert and aware of the little world. She spends minutes (haha, about 30) just staring out the window. She was 10 pounds 8 ounces today and 22 inches. She is really growing!! She loves to smile and coo at her momma. Next Monday we will go in for her two month check up which involves a few shots…let’s pray that everything goes well! I think it will be harder on me than her.Â
What an amazing blessing she is to us and we cannot imagine our lives without her! Here are a few pics!

So here we are, 5 1/2 weeks old. We are now weighing 9 lbs!! She gained 7 oz in the last week…good girl! It is totally starting to show in her little pudgy cheeks and thighs. Her skin is doing well. She has peeled completely on her arms, legs, hands, feet and face. Currently her head is peeling and looks kinda like dry dessert sand with little cracks and such. Her back is also peeling, but slower I think since it is always covered up.  It doesn’t bother her or hurt her, so we just keep lubing her up with Aquaphor.Â
She has learned how to scream and cry, which she is doing a lot of lately. I am hoping it is just a growth spurt and won’t continue for too long. No matter how long she screams though, she is still the most precious thing! Next week, she has a Doc appointment and I will double check to rule out gas, colic, and GERD.Â
Nelson, by the way, is doing great with her. He likes to smell her every once in awhile and I think he is enjoying all the people coming by for visits (like they are here to see him.) He is so independent, but still gets lots of attention from us. Even if it is only a walk to the mailbox, he is loving life!Â
